Coconut Grove is fairly close to Key Biscayne. Both locations have something nice to offer. On the one hand, Coconut grove offers shopping and dining at Cocowalk. You can then drive or bike to Key Biscayne and decide if you want to go to the beach, rent watercraft, or just do some exploring and sightseeing. If you travel toward Crandon Park there are nice beaches and nature to explore. If you bike this route bring plenty of water. You can also plan this trip in reverse by starting in the Key Biscayne area and finishing up with an early dinner or late lunch in Coconut Grove.
